anyone know what they cost from new?has any of you guys got one/owned one.

A basic one was £40k I think. Mine is a 2001 and I'm sure it was £40k plus all of the options.

About 50k with a few extras. Great cars, but are getting old now, and you tend to get what you pay for, cheap ones are generally cheap for a reason and there are some right dogs out there now. Vanos units even on the E46 are starting to show up as having problems now, and the rear chassis/subframe's are cracking on allot of them which is a costly repair. Still superb value and drivers cars though... I'd like another one myself, but looked at a couple of rubbish examples which has put me off for the time being.

I've still got it Rob and it's been checked for the subframe cracking and mine doesn't have it I've thought about selling it but I simply won't part with it! It's still got less than 90k on the clock

mines great too. 3 years ownership now. subframe all clean.even better on track spend atleast 10k or be prepared for some fixing/maintainence.
