Default Focus ST3 Code red.

Has anyone any experience with one of these? I didn`t realise they made a beast like this!

Code red is a tuner similar to Dreamscience, etc - this car looks to have most of their tune up parts fitted (ind kit, turbo, intercooler, remap, etc
It's not a Ford approved upgrade like Mountune but they are a reputable tuner

With that bhp it should have an uprated clutch and the driveshafts are a problem area as well (some use Volvo ones which are supposed to be stronger)

Mine was 318/375 and a very quick road car.For that price though it needs to have an RS clutch because if it is that power the clutch is on borrowed time and it will be a £1000 bill very soon

theyre **** btw , had one myself for a month or so.

mine was bluefinned with decat and induction so roughly 300 horses, very torquey and very nice seats.

bad points , rusty after 2 years, bolts shear and round off (2 year old car remember), no feel in the steering, pointless traction control and boy dont they guzzle

I'm the opposite - mine was great, though running around 270.

I have one running 320.
RS clutch is £795 fitted at dreamscience.
That car in the add is not an official special edition, it looks identical to mine only with colour coded light surrounds and some stickers on the side.

To the guy saying his rusted after 2 years, there's something wrong with that, mine has no rust after 6 years and I know loads of other owners rust free.
As for bolts shearing, depends where the bolts are but can happen with any car.

People say they guzzle fuel but my RS is running 28mpg according to the trip computer since I bought her which is the same as my Civic Type R (2.0 NA 198bhp)

Never had the chance to drive a tunned focus but drove a standard focus st when they first came out and I was very very disappointed. Was waiting for a old fella on a push bike to pass me. But supposed to be a world of difference tuned. Hope so!!

I'm a member of focusstoc.com there's no official special editions from code red, although they are a very good tuner.

The only special edition of the focus ST was the ST500, they were all black with silver viper stripes and have a red leather interior, they were all preface lift models and were the last ones before ford released the facelift version, have the same engine as any other ST.

The only official ford upgrade is the MP260 which involves an uprated intercooler remap and panel filter by Mountune. It's expensive as an upgrade though and most go to independent tuners instead.

There's no body kit on the car in the link other than an RS rear diffuser available from a company called RSparts. All the rest is standard ST with a bit of colour coding.

It's not a bad price if the turbo is uprated, I would want to know about the clutch too as it will need uprating if it's standard.
I'd be slightly concerned with the seller as I don't think he really knows what it is, I'd want to see documentation specifically to check the turbo upgrade.
Probably worth asking on www.focusstoc.com as its quite heavily modified so someone may well know the car.
