Default Discounts on new VWs

Looking to buy a new VW Touran to replace the wife's Galaxy.

Anyone know what sort of discount is the going rate in these times of recession?

Tourans and Toerags are really popular with the middle-class mum brigade.

Id look at Skoda (Yeti Urban) or similar, cheaper, same mechanicals etc and better (and friendlier) service from the dealers

We are cash buyers. Hadn't really been aware of the Touran until we started looking. We wanted something with a high driving position, cruise control and good economy for the 350 mile journeys we do every few weeks. Did look at the Yeti, but it didn't appeal. Touran seems to have everything - it even parks itself!

Looks like we're going for the 2.0 SE DSG.

Not true, last price increase in April was road tax changes in the budget.. Pm me for a deal but you'd have to come to Manchester to collect....

Thanks for the offer, I may take you up on it, distance is not a problem.
The problem is that after test driving a manual Touran and a DSG Tiguan my wife came away wanting a Touran. She then spent a few days telling me how different the old Touran looked compared with the new model, and how much she disliked the old model. Turned out she was looking at Touaregs :roll eyes: . She no longer wants a Touran, doesn't believe the Tiguan will give good enough MPG, and can't afford a Touareg.

She likes the look of the Scirrocco now
