Cortina 2.3 V6 - Anyone know about these?
#2
Not really helpful, but I had a m8 years ago with a Mk ll "Savage Cortina" with a V6 unit. Supposedly a limited edition approved conversion based on 200E/GT.
Don't think it was a 2.3 though

Owned this one many years ago,
1979, 2.3V6 auto, not a bad car in it's day, the 2.0 manual four pot was quicker, power steering, cheap wood trim, about 23MPG.
Had to have a new tranny fitted when the oil cooler pipe work decided to let go.

LOL at Mr 6
I was only 20 at the time, thought it was the muts nuts cruising Southend with me mates those were the day's.
As Lee mentioned a super smooth engine, it was about two years old in that picture.

Ah, the good old V6 'tina. I had one when I was 19, swapped the motor for an injected 2.8 out of my mates Capri when it got rear ended. As a result, to this day I still don't trust RWD handling not to put me in a ditch, LOL
