Good spot! They are dire those tyres, dealer I got a supra from years ago sold it with them on, couldn't put 300bhp down let alone 400. Changed to Eagles and was like night and day. Plus in the wet = hedge jumpers.

Had a few Hours today after Decorating the Landing & halls so desided to spend it on the car considering it was my last day off...lol...

I was concerned about the downpipe for some reason but i wasnt sure what, something in side of me wanted to re-fit it in the day light to see how it is...

Anyway upon on fitting it i noticed the Bolt hanger Which is on the Sub frame was outta line so once i sorted that and remark up for a new hanger it took 20mins to have the downpipe on and fitted lol PERFECT!!!...V-band is the way forward..

Im going up to Chris's on tuesday night to finish off welding the downpipe and Fit the EGT bung...Then i can heat wrap it :d

I was also wondering weather my LCR charge Pipe would fit with abit of grinding :d...So marked it all up and chopped the OE Baffle off and with a 4'' 63mm Alloy Joiner I had It lined up nicely...I might even chop the Boost Port of the baffle and weld it to my Charge..

Name: 4bebe3e8.jpg
Views: 0
Size: 106.8 KB

This is how it stands :d Once the downpipe and charge is done its a few jubliee Clips & t-bolt Clamps Then i can start her up....(check it all over first)...
I will paint anything and smarten any bits up once its run in..but that doesnt concern me right now..

The Last thing i have to connect is just the coolant and oil lines to the turbo...But apart from that, thats it :d So if im lucky i can have her running the week over christmas....

That's the downpipe finished...big thanks to Chris dad for doIng the welding up for me:-)

Name: 874438de.jpg

I actually should have this running over Xmas hopefully!!!!

Then i can Wire tug and Sort out all my hoses....Paint a few bits then Smarten the bay up..

Too much mate..

In standard form K04 210/225 they are fantastic cars..With supporting mods you will see around 300bhp & 350ft-lb but not much money..

They are alloy Body too so not a real Barge..

Looking good. I would clean the metal burrs off the inside of your intake pipe before you start it up. Dont want anything no matter how small going through your turbo. Great progress though, looks top!

When do you recon it will be up and running then?

Cheers Dude,

That is on my Charge pipe in that picture and that Joint peice is being welded (tig) to my Ali charge pipe...So no need for joiners..I was trying different ways and routes...

I want to minimize the amount the Joiners/clamps so one less Pipe to pop off with 1.9 bar of Boost lol...Even though each end is bead Rolled

Im just waiting on a Water pipe which will arrive tuesday And to sort this charge pipe out and its time to go..

Alot of these pictures alot does change as this isnt a kit its a more conversion so its more my idea way of doing things...Hoping next saturday to prime everything up

Cool, thats a good idea. One less to blow off as you say.

Thats why I like this project, no kit just make it up and trial fit bits as you go along. Great piece of engineering. Love the exhaust you made.

dont get what you mean conversion your way?? as this has been done to many vag and a good few cupra's already so surely these are all bolt on parts?? apart from the down pipe??

nice build it should be an animal when finished

p.s why not get revo to map out the n249 etc etc saves haing to use resistor??
