Default Bought a new toy couple of weeks ago

Well after deliberating what to do with the scooby as she really isnt the best car to be using for commuting and was costing me a fourtune I decided to buy another focus ST and keep the scooby as my weekend toy.

Within the first couple of weeks I realised I missed the power so took a trip to Pumabuild in Birmingham for a remap, full stainless turbo back exhaust and a bigger intercooler so now the ST is running 280BHP or there abouts

here she is and scooby is tucked up in the garage

what scoob do you have then? i cant see how a focus st will be cheaper to run especially when you have just spent cash upping the power on top of buying the focus, 2 loads of insurance and tax etc.

more pointless than my missus 80+ pairs of shoes.

don't quite see the point either, that's in the ST or on the 80+ pairs of shoes. LOL

The scoob was becoming a lot unreliable and has 120k on it now so it was time to get something more reliable and newer.

You lot sound like my wife with the " dont see how the focus will be any cheaper to run"

Its only money you cant take it with you and I work hard enough so see my car as my only excess in life

Couldnt you have spent a bit more and got a facelift model. Look sooo much better imho. Still nice bit of poke and I do like the 5 pot sound when you boot it.

Gotta echo the others tho - everywhere I read about ST ownership MPG is a negative. My mate has an ST2 and always moaning about it. Uses the mrs monde tdci more these days

Typical **** poor, negative, greeneyed, "put him down because we cant afford it" scoobynet brigade reaction I see.

I'm pleased for you fella they look a nice motor. It's certainly something I'd like to say I owned aswell as my Impreza.

I dont think the negative comments had anything to do with the affordability of a 2nd hand Focus ST. Most were suprised at the comment about affordability over the scoob which I think was a contradiction with the OP's later comment of "Its only money you cant take it with you and I work hard enough so see my car as my only excess in life"

I like the Focus. Test drove one before deciding on a CTR as I was leasing. Remapped ones are a different beast and a good sleeper I bet. Im looking for a new car now and the RS mk2 was a consideration but the lack of 4wd and the very strong 2nd hand prices have put me off.

Looks very nice that. Rare to see a pre-face lifted MKII Focus ST in Black.
