Renault Clio Williams Returns
Looks interesting. 240BHP, and reduced weight (hopefully) should make this thing an absolute brilliant little car.
Might consider getting one ( I have an urge to get a Hot hatch again)

Back in 1993 I had the chance to buy a new Mark 1 Williams, but the insurance prohibited me getting it. I bought a 16v instead. I loved it and the only reason why I got rid was because I put 80k miles on it. It ate front tyres like no-ones business!!!
The new one looks good but £25k??!!!!

Probably the same people who payed nearly 30K for a Focus RS and 35K for the Focus RS500. There are always people who will pay for a special edition. Not saying it makes it right though

The current Clio 200, isn't too far behind the Focus RS anyway on a back road, so a more powerfull Clio with special Dampers should be an absolute hoot to drive.
Remember the last Clio Trophy kept Supercars on their toes on anything other than a long straight.
The only fly in the ointment is the arrival of the new Clio late next year. meant to be smaller and Lighter than the current car. Although any RS model would be at least another 18months away after than. The RS is also rumoured to be Turbo powered.
I'm not Renaults biggest fan (after owning a 172) but while my 370Z is a great car, it's not something that can be flung down a great twisty road like a well sorted Hot Hatch can be. I quite miss that.

Photoshop express = fail
You only have to look back at pretty much every single back issue to see just how made up most of the content is, some of the tripe they create is just daft.
They are like a fantasy bed time story publisher, but for grown men

I saved up for over a year and sold most of my possessions to buy a second hand MK I Clio Williams many years ago! It was number 101 and I paid £10,050 for it. It was an Awsome car, I loved it!! When I sold it 2 years later to buy my first rally car I got exactly £10,050 for it!!!

1) The Renault is 240BHP, the Focus was 300BHP. More power going through the front wheels. Plus the Focus is a Turbo, so lots more Torque going through the front wheels.
2) The Clio is a relatively small Hatchback, while the Focus is a BIG hatchback. (though the Clio is big compared to the original Clio)
Other things about the Focus. The Escort Cosworth was 2.0l Turbo with 4WD, just like the Rally car. The Focus RS Rally car wasn't 2.5l Turbo FWD.

I like it also - Quite a funky little car there - before purchasing my subaru I nearly bought myself a Clio Trophy but advised against it - although it was a good little car to drive and great fun in the back roads - however in the end it wasn't meant to be - hence why I got the subaru - However if the Williams does come out at what is being said I bet it will sell and all most become like rockin horse ( I wonder how many will be made)- unluke the gordini version that was brought out at £19,999 for the additional two blue strips.
Its defo a grower on me - And I hope renault do bring it out and its not some AutoExpress made up story like 99% of the rest.

Not pointless at all.
I have 220bhp in my standard FWD car and it drives like a normal car.
It accelerates hard with no trouble and I don't drive flat out in the wet so its not a problem
