Anybody know any usefull info about a Left Hand Drive Audi TT
I know that they are not all 4WD only the 225Bhp but is there any other differences that i should be aware of ?
WHY LHD ? Because you can pick up a Y plate for 15K for a right hooker you would be looking at 23k

Any comments appreciated
Thanks

I thought all the TT's were 4wd??? I don't like lhd in this country for a sporty car.. To me this is an overtaking machine and this is hampered by visibility.... If you do mostly motorway miles then there really is no difference..

I don't know much but I know that all TT's are 4WD.

The 225BHP ones are easy to spot as they have two exhaust pipes instead of one - but I guess some people might have gone for the twin exhaust look so be careful.....

Having the wheel on the wrong side is no big deal in a sporty car and a 25% price differential more than compensates, IMO.

I had a Barchetta for over a year in the UK and as most crap drivers tend to wander towards the middle of the road, there is usually plenty of room on the left to see past them and plan your overtaking.

I had my RHD Scoob out here for a year too and it was nor real problem except that paying tolls at carparks etc. beacme a wee bit of a pain in the neck (literally) but.....that's what passengers are for!

Got some more info myself and nearly secured myself a 18month old Quattro 225bhp with cd and Xenon lights £16995
All Quattro models are 4wd which includes the 225bhp
If not a quattro then only 2WD

Drove it and after 2 mins forgot it was a LHD and i love it
just goto sell my CLIO 172 first
Its in the for sale section if anybody is interested..

Thanks

I've used three different companies to insure my car in the three years that I've owned it and none of them wanted any extra for LHD.

I'm paying £580 from Barlclays at the moment and that is Northampton, garaged, 6 years NCD, 31 year old.

Another good thing about LHD is that, once I'd sussed that it wasn't a problem, it let me consider some great motors that would be out of my budget in RHD

Currently looking at 993's for under £20k and z3 m coupes for under £16k

Andy.

p.s. anyone want to buy a cheap LHD Impreza ?

Guys,

Can you do me a favour and send any info/links you have on buying LHD cars - particularly where I might get one - to:
the_gza@talk21_nospam.com (delete the _nospam bit)

Cheers

Chris
