Golf TDi help
Need some help please.
Have a 150bhp Mk4 golf TDi, just replaced the turbo but now a hose that runs between the intercooler and the turbo keeps collapsing.
The old turbo has some damage to the impeller (sp) near to where this hose feeds into the unit.
Anyone have any suggestions of what this could be.
Thanks in advance.

I used to have one of these. Is it standard or mapped? Used to have problems with the intercooler pipe blowing off as they are held on by stupid clips. If the pipe is collapsing then, You'll need to get another pipe. VW only as well I am afraid.

The car is currently standard.
By collapsing I mean the sides of the hose actually move towards each other - as if there is a vacuum in the pipe. The pipe stays attached at both ends.
Will replace the pipe but am wondering if the pipe collapsing is due to another fault somewhere else, but guess time will tell.

Pipe os probably knackered after many miles of wear and tear and weakened, best replaced asap in case it starts to disintegrate (if it hasn't already) - maybe the cause of the original turbo failure?
If a garage changed the turbo then i am surprised they did not change it as well at the same time.

The clip went on my turbo pipe around last december, the clip is really cheap to replace, they are prone to corrosion being so close to the road unfortunately, does sound like a new pipe required though too

I did the work myself, decided to change pipework around turbo - one pipe cost £120 bloody rip off - but the good news is the car is back up and running really well - pity my wallet is not as healthy!!
