Default Cosworth

Saw a mint looking moonstone blue 3 door today in chesterfield driven by a chav, thinking it must have been stored over winter to keep it fresh and was out for a little run - UNTIL - over a small r/bout, wheelspinning up the road, dump valve, and on rev limiter - WTF

why have a nice classic cossie, keep it mint looking then stick a chav valve on and thrash the **** off it?

Chav valve should go, but nothing wrong with driving a performance car hard! (as long as you are sensible and no one is in danger)

This was a very short stretch of road between 2 mini r/bouts, outside a pub, wasn't a long dual c/way away from houses, etc

I appreciate a performance car is ok for driving quick but there are better places to do it

I've had lots of performance cars (3 scoobs, Astra VXR, Focus ST, etc, etc) and i'm now driving a Mini as owning fast cars were wasted as i only drive 7 miles each way to work and home.
I was just suprised at the chav as the Cossie is an iconic car and to drive it like a saxo vtr is a waste

I've seen a Purple Sierra cosworth driving about near me. Looks totally stock and fine, driven sedately by some old bloke.

Must like in Bowdon, Lymm area.

A mate had a Sierra in purple but with a V8 stuck under the bonnet. He got a bit sick of sub 10mpg and sold it!

I must be a chav too, had my RST out at the wknd - only done 60k miles, but I still overtook slower cars and enjoyed the torque steer and the looks you get driving around - did the same with my RS16i and will do with a cossie when I buy one too.

If I wanted one to look at I'd save lots of cash and buy a corgi model, if I wanted to drive slowly and mince about I'd borrow a lady friends mini

not at all envious, like the look of them, could afford to buy 1 but it would be wasted on a 7 mile daily commute

I saw a Saph Cossie being chased by 5 Police T5's on Police Stop last night, really thought the Cossie would have pulled away and left them. Bloke was threatening to set himself on fire and driving like a total loon.

Anyone see the clip?
