What about a D Type replica or C Type.XJ13 replica would be fab, with about 500+ ponies.

vxr8 book into monkfish and get them to slap a supercharger on the top! plenty of change on your budget and much more than 500hp available, my monaro has 550hp on only 6psi and nothing sounds like a 6 litre v8 and a supercharger whining

yes , the XKR 5L V8, is the top of my list , If i go for a jag, unless i find nicer,
we only need 2 doors , as our youngest is 21 this year, and oldest 35 so we dont need a large barge anymore

His needs are too tell us he's considering another expensive car.

For which we are meant to be impressed; hence there is no actual question.

It's a bit like one of us saying "Are Porsches worth buying?" then later saying "it would have to be a 911 Turbo" - pointless peacock feather flashing.

It's tricky this English language thing and Alan's only response seems to be "tosser." thumb:

Matteeboy ,you drive a car so yes you have left school BUT I bet when you were there you were the teachers pet, did you just take your teacher a apple or did you take a bag full to share with all the staff, and yes you are a 100% tosser, And tosser is the best response for you

Its a nice position for you to be in having to choose between those two. I reckon I'd plump for the GT R

I think the GTR is the sort of car you'd buy to feel 'King of the road' but it's not a Drivers' car being electronically controlled and auto.

If I had a fat wad to blow on a coupe I'd probably get an M3.

Surely the XKR-S is the only choice? 550ps & 680Nm of torque with a wondereful sounding supercharger. A similar alternative may be an Aston Martin. Well done mate, I like someone who wants to choose British!
