Default AM Vanatge GT3...Yes please!

Aston Martin today announced the replacement for the popular DBRS9 in the shape of the new Vantage GT3 which will be ready for competition in 2012. The car is based on the V12 road car and will feature a lighweight V12 engine with a target output of 600BHP and 700Nm of torque. The other build highlights include an Xtrac six speed sequential gearbox, easily accessible drop gears, carbon fibre propshaft and a target weight of 1250KG dry.
26 DBRS9s were built for competition and enjoyed relative success around the world but the all new Vantage GT3 will benefit from the experiences and lessons learned from the DBRS9.

They should make a road going car too.

It is hard translating the car for the road. Apparently the Porsche GT3R is an absolute pig to drive - as difficult to drive as the roadgoing version is as easy to drive.

It does look nice

They made the N1 for general release, hopefully they will produce a limited run of road legal versions of the GT3 too as that is a stunning motor!

Chris Harris summed it up as car that wanted to understeer and oversteer at the same time!!!! He loved it though - I guess if you have talent then it is a challenge.

Be good to see Aston do something a bit more extreme for the road.

I think the N1 was an endurance racer - not as extreme - nothing like a GT3 racer.
