Default Our 110

Well I gave it a good clean and thought a few might like the pics.

It's cr4p on fuel, slow and noisy but we love it - turning out to be the most useful vehicle we have ever had!

Waxoyled the chassis (rustproof a chassis? No no no - far too modern!), snow foamed it, etc, etc:

Lame reflection shot taking in the river we overlook:

Lol why did you clean it, a proper 4x4 (and you know what I mean by that), should be dirty / mud splattered.

A clean Landy will deteriorate less! It also needs to be spotless and dry for Waxoyling.

It gets plenty of "proper" use towing boats, blatting around fields, loading logs, builders stuff, towing stuck cars out of ditches, etc, etc.

Previous owner lived in Croydon so we can safely say it didn't get used much off road beforehand!

It has the turning circle of the QE2!

110 is the distance in inches between axles.

Nice. I want one. Well and like a 90, but the bench seats put me off.
Has this got proper seats in the back?

Joey - yep, it has three (5 in total). You can have an extra two (so 7 in total) in a 110 Station Wagon but then you have almost no boot space.

The current shape (TDCi) 90 has two proper seats as well but access is ONLY via the rear door which is a bit of a PITA if you have a family.

All pre TDCi (so pre 2007) ones have bench seats which put us off getting a Td5.

This isn't ours - it's a Utility Wagon (no back windows) but has the same rear seats. You get 1/2 leather in the XS models (like ours) plus aircon, heated front seats, ABS brakes, TCS and a few other things that make it a bit more comfortable.

My bro in law has just bought something like this , only a lot older/ tattier and i think shorter , for transporting his paragliding gear up various pyrenees hills ( they live near the midi ) when my sis gives him time off the day job

Serves him right id say

I left the tyres. Shining them up seemed a step too far on a Defender!
