Default Best sounding cars.

I guess I am not talking exotica with mid engined V12's but cars you see day to day.

On that note I gotta say the RS4 sounds ridiculously good. Throaty, menacing, and that is just at idle.

Any Nissan RB engine with a good exhaust always sounds awesome at high RPM, they just sing.

355

Any 5,8,10 or 12 cylinder engine I've ever heard

Rover V8 must be one of my favourites

Some flat 4 and flat 6 sound nice, I like most V6s.

In fact, anything except an inline 4!

I have a flat 6 and a V6. They are both quiet on stock exhausts, but I like them. Wife's in line four could be a food mixer, and my Evo was a loud food mixer.

Lots of Subaru's sound good.

A Spec C with 3in exhaust spinning up at 8k rpm is like a motorbike - in a good way!

Mate has a Trans-Am. Terrible thing to drive but just listening to the rumble as it pulls out of the garage stirs the soul.

There are too many Scoobs about with Nur Spec type 'zausts which drone about everywhere, just one step up in the food chain from your average chaved DOHC inline 4 with a fart can.

my V8 TT RS6.Sounds fabulous at idle (same as RS4) and it part of the reason i bought one Wasnt overly impressed with my Spec C with full RCM system to be honest in the sound department. If we are talking supercar stuff i think the Porsche Carrera GT takes some beating

Arese V6 from Alfa is one of my favs, even the 2.5 V6 sounds lush.

Saying that even the Twinspark has a great sounds of it for such a humdrum engine.

I still remember a drive in my friends V8 RS6. Stock exhaust, but just awesome sound at any engine speed.

355 is like an opera singer, absolutely fantastic and hysterical at the same time, but all noise and no go.

My mate has a v8 4.4 X5, that sounds sweet both inside and out and goes pretty well for a 2 ton monster!

The F20C of a Honda S2000 at 9k-rpm with a CAIK fitted - sounds like a superbike!

My Focus ST has a wicked sounding 5 cylinder exhaust note with my Mongoose system.

Not mine in this vid but similar sound.

Yeah but there is not reason to put a Y pipe on and split the flow since a 5 cylinder engine only has one exhaust manifold.

I see - it was aimed at all STs then. I thought you meant just the one in the pic.

It's cool innit?
