I'm not sure what bulb type a defender has but once know the type then ebay?
Ah depending on what year your defender is it might be sealed unit, later ones can change the bulb. If its a sealed bulb can replace the whole unit with a halogen upgrade
Got a set on ring xenon max bulbs for my terrano - has made a real differance, headlights actually usable now !

H4 it is, no there not sealed untis. Looked on ebay & most are the so called xenon look, which i have and they produce lots of yellow light.
I keep seeing loads of motors (even older style vans) with this cold white colour lights but just cannot find out what and where the bulbs are
