I see that Porsche have 'won' the right to develop the high end platform and cars of VAG - so Porsche, Bentley, VW, Lamborghini and Audi high end platform the 'modular standard matrix' will be developed and engineered by Porsche.

Lets just hope their input end with the Chassis. Otherwise we'll see a lot more ugly cars on the road.

The only thing i'd be quite worried about, is just how good will they design a chassis for a 911 rival?

If I was Lamborghini CEO, I'd be very worried. The Gallardo is a 911 rival. Would Porsche design it's next chassis to be as good as they can make it? or would they make it not so good, so the 911 is the better car?

Same with the R8. Audi designed it to be a 911 rival, and they were the first genuine manufacturer to pull it off. If Porsche has been designing it's chassis, would the car be as good as it is? or would Porsche of made sure it wasn't quite so good?
