Default Auto ebid-I've cocked up!

I've been a prize plank I think!

I've been negotiating on my new 5 series (you may have noticed I'm buying one) and I asked the dealer to match an on line broker.

The first broker I tried was Broadspeed, they gave approx 10% off the rrp and then options at full price.

Then I tried auto ebid and it looked as though they were offering 10% off the rrp and then 10% off the options as well. I asked BMW to match this and they said yes. I've just looked back at the link I sent them to match and bloody auto ebid have used a rrp that is higher than the actual rrp.

It is meant to be £45320 (as per BMW website) and they have it at £46251.

http://autoebid.com/buy-new-cars/BMW...Auto/48383.asp

So I thought I was getting 10% off the whole car (inc options) but by using a rrp that's higher than it should be I am not. My mistake and I should have paid more attention to the detail, but this is the price they agreed to match.

How can auto ebid get away with stating a rrp that is a grand more than the actual rrp??

You should check...

the Autoebid target price is fully inclusive on the road. The two times I have used them (once recently) the prices have matched. And the recent time was a BMW.

The list prices did not match, but once you took off the OTR elements from Autoebid the prices matched exactly.

Trouty, aren't these prices on the BMW website otr prices as well? Look at the link below and the price for the 535dMS is £45320. Thanks

Indeed - didn't happen to me last time I used it - the OTR prices matched. Wierd one!

It certainly makes autoebid seem more attractive - if not in reality!
