Default Just bought a Mondeo Zetec S TDCi

Sold my Vectra GSi last week and bought my first diesel, 53 plate Mondeo Zetec S.

Just as quick as my Vectra but returns 48mpg average. It actually returned over double on the same journey today that I usually did with the Vectra. Vectra did 30mpg, Mondeo showed 62

Put 25 quid in it when I bought it, I've done 160 miles and still got half it left

I stuck 15 quid in the Impreza the other day, 60 miles normal driving and it was gone.

Seriously considering remapping the oil burner. 170bhp and 300lbs torque and 50mpg? Cant see me having another Impreza unless its a WR1.

130bhp. Injectors and pump have been done which does seem to be a problem on these.

yes, clutch and DMF might not like the extra torque.

Yep they are pretty good cars .

I recently bought a 155 TDCI and I am quite impressed with the car .Mixed driving with mainly town stuff and a couple of longish runs on the motorway 520 plus to the tank full .!!!!!

By the way WR1 is a great car as well but your back down to 190 ish per tank full !!!!!!!

I have too. We have one in our staff car park at school, quicker in the real world than my 160 bhp Hawkeye, more luxurious as well yet Im the one that gets all the "nice car" comments from the kids. Nice cars but not sure whether Id actually ever buy one.
