Default At last a proper courtesy car!!

After the total an utter debacle last time my dealer has at least given me a decent courtesy car this time. And it is a fantastic drive! I am surprised by how good it is!

They are properly rapid now.

I held a previous shape one off in the soot chucking hearse recently. He wasn't happy... It was pure 335d territory though - long sweeping and hilly dual carriageway.

Wouldn't be able to do the same with the current shape one.

I'd love one of those having realised that as a mechanical engineer with a mortgage and a family, I will struggle to get my feet into a 911.

Interesting comment, you dont see it as the poor mans 911 then ? But do you think it would have the long term appeal of the 911 though as thinking of a Boxster for a weekend / long term toy.

They do have an image problem though, although I have never driven one but don't doubt your word they are good cars.

I'd prefer a gayman (cayman) on looks though.

after he bought his wife a Boxster, my neighbour sold his Carrera 4s and bought a GT2

he said it annoyed him that the Boxster was basically the same as the Carrera

At least I am a fanboy of a brand that has consistently fabulous products.

Anyway the point of this thread is that I am surprised by how good the product is!

Er, where do I mention Cayenne on this thread?!

I was surprised by how good a Boxster S is - nothing more, nothing less!

I made "noises" about buying a 911 when my old Cayman went back in for servicing.... result... the very same 911 loaned to me for the day...

Needless to say I changed my mind once the service was complete

At least I am a fanboy of a brand that has consistently fabulous products

assumes the inclusion of the Cayenne

You missed the tongue in cheek '' at the end though

Maybe I should have said - it is a brand where all the products I have personally tried are consistently fabulous. How about that?

What's wrong with the Cayenne? I thought the new one was quite highly rated? I suppose they have an image problem in some ways (don't most SUVs have an image problem?), but surely not as bad as the image of a black Range Rover Sport.

muttermuttermutter

bloodyaudiandtheirfeckingcourtesycars

I was once given a bright RED A3 convertible as a courtesy car. (and it was an automatic!)

I felt like having bum sex the moment I sat in it.

God that was embarrassing.

Really bright warm sunny days as well... there was NO way on God's green Earth I was going to put the top down on that bloody thing.

I'd kill for courtesy car like that.

You've obviously never had a 3 year old 1.2, 3 cylinder Fabia whilst your 170bhp TDi Octavia is in for a repair AND THEN when the useless ******* order the wrong bits, have to do a 380miles round trip in the hateful clatter wagon

I once got a "slap" from a Cayenne Turbo, it squatted, spat out a cloud of thick black smoke and pulled four "truck lengths" on me in seconds...

Turbo is a wicked piece of kit.

P.S. Oi 'ad 'im in the twisties... NOT !
