Default Fiesta Zetec 1.25 ten years old no MOT, scrap it?

This car goes well and has a great little engine and chassis and you can rev the t!ts off it. Very rusty round the rear arches and sills. Needs £350-£400 spending on it to pass MOT and then would only be worth about £450 so not worth me doing it. I think the idle control valve might be faulty as it over revs a bit! Seems a shame to send it to scrap for whatever I can get. Got four months tax still on it. Do you reckon anyone would be interested in it as a doer upper? Problem is plenty of bangers around for £500 with some MOT on.

Sell it for more than scrap. Scrap will barely touch a hundred quid on it. It will suit someone maybe for spares.
What location is it?

Up in Hull. I might put a sign in the back and stick it at the end of the drive. You never know. Might be worth something for parts?

Strip it, and sell the parts. Probably make more than £450.

£50 would be my guess from them. As its got no MOT and the cost to fix is more than its worth. Technically its only worth scrap.

Best off breaking it and selling the parts yourself as said above.

Just put an ad on eBay saying "breaking Ford Fiesta"

Some pics here all taken today. For those interested I will make up my mind what to do in the next couple of days. Five door car, tax is £125 a year and it has tax on it til end of Jan next year. Car has a reasonable aftermarket cd stereo I was going to remove to sell separately and a nearly new £80 halfords calcium battery I was going to swap for old one which still has some life in it. I don't know if people want to pm me if interested, bearing in mind the battery and stereo or perhaps how much they would offer without those. Car still needs a bit spending on it to pass MOT, recently had a service though. Car now has no test left on it. Bit rusty, not bad alloys!

Looks a lot better than expected in the pictures, if it was me i'd claim the road tax back, take out the stereo and sell that then probably ebay it as spares/for breaking.

Try sticking a cheeky ad on www.zsoc.com wouldn't be suprised if someone will give you a couple hundred on there to strip it for spares
