opinions on chrysler 300c
ok, dont flame me for this, i am in the lucky position of owning my scoob as a weekend toy, so dont need to worry about using it as an everyday car.
I currently drive a clio 172, and as much as i like it, it's just not me at all, plus im doing a lot of miles now and as good as it is on fuel, it's bloody uncomfortable and tiring to drive over long distances.
ive been looking at swapping for something a little more conversant with doing a lot of miles and dont really want to blend in with the rest of the mondeos, passats and vectras, and certainly dont want an audi under any circumstances, so was considering one of the 3.0 crd chrysler 300c's, saloon only.
has anyone got any experience of them as an everyday car, ive done some reading up and they appear to be very good for the money, looking at spending somewhere in the region of 10k on a slightly second hand one.
any 1st hand experiences would be appreciated before i spend any hard earned on one.

I always pick a 300c hire car when i'm in the states, solid heavy barge to be honest but if you go for the Hemi its a beast.
for motorway work in the UK it would be excellent but heavy on fuel, the diesel is probably a decently efficient package but its definitely a cruiser very comfortable plastics are a bit cheap as with most US cars but its one of their better efforts & a lot of metal for the money...
I thought about buying one over here, ( I personally like the drug dealer look )
at the end of the day it was the fuel costs that put me off

I've had a few as rental cars, and it's true that they are a bit plasticky inside. Still, they are at least a bit different than run of the mill cars, like BMWs for example - and nobody will assume (correctly in the case of some owners) that you are a **** either!

If you like the drive of the 300crd then to hell with the negative comments on here-go for it. As you mentioned, you dont want to blend in with all the other "me too" BMW 3/5 series, VW, etc etc.

it's got nothing to do with the gangsta look, i llike the look of the car in general, and like i said dont want to blend in with every other **** in an audi/bmw or worse still mondeo or vectra. if im honest im not to fussed about the plastics inside, i have a classic subaru so used to that element of it, from what i can see they have a lot of toys for the money, would be the 300crd deisel i would be going for as much as id like the hemi v8 version, just not practical for the amount of miles i now do, perhaps when ive earnt my first million!!!! lol
