Default Fiat 500, went for its first service today.

And had a suspension bush replaced due to "excess play"

The car has just over 5000 miles on it (its "hers")
The dealership think it may have been a manufacturing defect.

Might have struggled to buy a DS3 on the scrappage scheme

Mini never appealed to her.

She is not a big lass in fact she has just went out for a jog

Has she been pot-holeing?

Potholes are the number one killer of suspension bushes. Well, the entire suspension in general TBH.

Next to broken coil springs (seeing them on MOT failures a hell of alot on relatively new/lowish mile cars).

The only pot-hole proof car thats not a 4x4 is a Citroen 2CV, you can drive them across ploughed fields all day long without anything breaking (why you'd want to is another question unless you are French and had too much Vino for lunch )

Not sure on the pot holes, it does not even have low profile alloy wheels, so the tyres should be more than enough to take up the odd bump.

That's definitely not right unless it's had a bit of a kerb shunt.
