Basic requirements
4WD
Cost £2-3k
Needs to be able to tow 2 tons
I'm thinking of a Forester turbo, any other suggestions?

Subaru can tow 1800kg braked, Shogun is 3300kg braked and Disco 300 is 4000kg braked.
I would personally go for the Disco, but I quite like them anyway. They can all be problematic at the sort of age you will be buying and towing 2 ton will mean a lot of upkeep IMO.

Funnily enough Devildog there is a Landcruiser on Autotrader for £3k. I am assuming these things are bombproof?
