I want it !!!
Slightly overpriced, but what a lovely example.
The new Focus RS may well kick it's ****, but I'd love to own this.

A decent lottery win this weekend, and I'd have it off him.
Prefer Imperial Blue Cosworths myself, but I jusy love this car. Standard too.
Edit.
Just seen this one too.

£35K does seem steep, although at the end of the day its worth what someone will pay for it.

Increase in value ?? surely its reached it max already ??
sorry have to say although it probably is one off the nicest ones left have to say time has moved on and have to say personally think the focus rs would be my prefered choice off the two.
as the owner has pointed out its now a show car and as such to keep in this condition would require to be trailered to show etc and certainly not used as an everyday car. still worth spending so much on ??

Any car from the past will always feel "crap" compared to new metal.
The Focus RS500 is better in every way to the Sierra RS500. But back then, the Sierra had more impact, and was so ahead of the game compared to it's rivals. Where the Focus is just another hot hatch in a market full of hot hatches.
"IF" I had a huge amount of disposable income ie lottery win, I buy both the Red and Black Escort Cosworths in my original post.
Would they be used as everyday cars? No.
Would they probably be the slowest car I'd own? Probably, yes.
I always wanted an Escort Cosworth, but was to young to buy one, let alone afford to buy or insure one. I'd have those 2 just for enjoying a sunny Sunday morning drive. Might not be to everyone's taste these days, but I'd be very happy owning them.

That's what happens though when you advertise nice cars for sale. When my old man was selling his RS4, we kept getting calls wanting to see the car. Then they wouldn't show up. Got us thinking they were only wanting to know where it was kept, so they could come and get it without paying for it. Moved the car, and stopped adverstising it.
