Default BMW 1 Series Convertible

I know - it is a gay car - but her indoors wants one. We have decided to keep the BMW % series Hearse for children and dog duties.

Anyone here had one, driven one, been in one?

What else should we look at for a convertible that can get a couple of small kids in the back?

Anyone else think they look a bit like a pram ?

The 1 series coupe looks like a hat, the best looking one is the 3 door.

Yeah - I was thinking about a Mini too.

As for the 3 series - scary prices. Also went in an older 3 series M3 Cab on track and it really put me off.

And she doesn't want a 993 Cabriolet

We have had a Mini convertible and the 1 is streets ahead of that.
I didnt want my wife to have the 1 Convertible, and go for the Audi A3 Convertible but she was having none of it ..

Having driven it twice now I can honestly say its a really really good car, and doenst suffer from any scuttle shake like other convertibles.
I offered to buy her a 3 Series convertible but she thought it was too big and didnt like the seating position

So we ended up with a 120d M SPORT

Hate the style of the wheels, but am on the look out for replacements.
Although the ride is lovely on the chunky 17" tyres
