Default Toyota mr2 roadster

Hairdresser jokes aside for now guys !! just noticed this on ebay- newer style mr2 roadster, seem a lot off car for not a lot off money ??

anyone owned one / know much abouth them ??

MR2 Convertible, hardtop & soft-top, Roadster, Air con on eBay (end time 02-Apr-10 22:11:28 BST)

I'd still go for the MX-5. Import models get A/C as standard.

I had one. They handle fantastically (better than my blobeye WRX did), but are a little low on power. I fitted a TTE bolt on turbo (TTE SPORT PARTS) and the car was awesome. Although it had about 50% less power than my WRX, it was 2 seconds a lap faster (on a 2 minute track) and great fun. Never once had brake fade on the track (oem brakes).

I've got a Classic STi Type-RA now, but haven't had a chance to get it on a track yet. I'm very interested to see how it is compared to the MR2 and the Blobeye.

Okay cheers guys appreciatte your thought / info on these cars, to be honest with a family its a car that would only ever be used as a toy as opposed to an everyday car but just thought the price looked not too bad for a newer shape MR2 always thought they looked a bit porsche roadster looking this style !!!

may investigate further sometime !!

I had one new on W reg when they first came out, fun car cheap to run totally reliable handled pretty good, crap in snow (no weight wide tyres ) easy to remove roof, purfect car for summer evening ride to country pub swift half and poddle home again. really recommend ! far better than the Mazda.
