Default Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE - any good ones?

Our lass wants a Range Rover Sport, I've spent a while looking and I'm really struggling to find a decent one.

been to look at one today - 2008 (57) plate in Black with ivory interior.
all alloys kerbed, big scratch on reat bumper, signs of wearing on the drivers seat, oil leak in the engine bay, low brake pad warning light on.
The guy wanted £31,500.00 and it had done 18k.

I've tried pistonheads, RRS Forum, Autotrader, Vcar and even ebay and it beginning to get on my nerves.

Are these cars just not looked after??

has anyone had one of these cars and experiences good / bad?

Cheers
Rob

Have you tried the dealers?

I found 8 listed HSE's <24k for less than £33k.

Yes I've looked at the stealers as well.
But the point I was making is that while there are quite a few for sale the quality of the cars for sale is quite low. Just seems strange when people spend originally 50k on a car, I expected to be a good few mint ones... maybe my expectations are too high?

Cheers

alot are abused and overpriced . keep looking out , try independant lr dealers , landrover magazines etc they tend to have some good ones in there .

i suspect they are bought by people (on finance) who can't really afford them and they just hand them back to the finance co after a few years, fvcked

On the contrary, many of these owners see it merely as a tool to get from A-B.

I think the reply below is the right reason to be honest. A lot of them are owned by people who have no interest in looking after and maintaining cars. Their choice as it's their money, but it just means that you have to look at quite a few cars before you get a decent one.
