1987 205 1.9 GTi - (great car until I rolled it )
1997/88? Ford Escort XR3i Convertible - serious fun over the summer
1991 205 1.9 GTi - wish I still had it now! Was a minter!
1992 205 1.6 GTi - Let down. Doesn't even get close to a 1.9 for fun factor IMO
1990/91? 205 1.9 GTi - Turbo Technics - very fast, but no more fun than a standard 1.9 really
2002 Audi A4 2.0 SE - Kept 2 years - really nice car, and regretted selling it
2004 Audi A3 2.0 TDi Sport - Bit of a letdown. Lots of faults it shouldnt have had
2001 VW Polo GTi - Stop-gap that has been kept a year! Seriously underrated little car! (also FOR-SALE - PM me )
2006 BMW 330d M-Sport - Fast, comfortable and economical, and surprisingly for a diesel sounds fantastic - more like a petrol V8 when accelerating, and totally silent when cruising (ie on the motorway, not down the local high street!)

Awesome sound! If Subaru came up with a diesel engine which sounded as good as the BMW 3.0, and dropped it into the Impreza WRX, the brand would have a new lease of life I reckon.

87 Cavalier Sri Hatch: Brilliant car even if it didn't have power steering!

93 Rover Coupe 220 Turbo: Always broke down but my god it was bloody fast in a straight line!

02 Vectra Gsi 2.6: Extremely underated if a little underpowered. Very good looking car with good handling. (I thought so)

51 BMW 530D Sport Tourer: Very dissapointed. MAF kept going, Air suspension kept going, gasket went, air bag light always on and really crap headlights! This must have been a bad apple as everyone else still raves about them.

07 Astra Sport Hatch 1.9 CDTi Sri with VXR bodykit (xp): Really liked this. Very handsome motor and really good low end punch.

Current motor 08 Vectra VXR 280 Hatch: Missus fell preggers (we now have a baby boy) and she was already struggling with putting our daughter in the back. Very fast in a straight line, makes a fantastic noise and suprisingly good in the twisties come rain or shine. Real sleeper.

Run abouts (Missus motors)

89 polo 1.0cc: Superb car even with a 4 speed manual!
93 Corsa 1.5d: Very economical and does exactly what it says on the tin.
94 1.4 Asrtra mk3: Great engine, ****e handling and terrible brakes!
Missus current motor 02 1.4 Astra mk4: Good shopping car.
