Or even an R32 Golf - yes it's a VR6 (more or less) but SO much better sounding.

However a lot of cars sound better than that - woofly V8s (RS6, X5 4.8is), screaming V8s (F430, F355, E90 M3), V10s (Carrera GT - Phwoaar!), V12s (Vanquish) and even other six pots (Porker GT3, E46 M3, E90 335i).

Yet to hear a four pot that's made me think "phwoaar" though.

I had a Blitz on the RB5 for 4 months. It sounded good to everybody within a 5 mile radius but was so loud I couldn't actually hear a thing when I was in the car.
Iv now got a HKS ti-tip and it has to be the best impreza sound IMHO
Im not a fan of screaming V10's/12's probably because I will never be able to afford a car like that though.

VR6 had a 6-2-1 manifold with scorpion exhaust and a massive induction kit and sounded better than any R32 I have heard.

Thought I'd join this list for a giggle. Passed my test 3 years ago.

1st car @ 18 was a swift 1.3 GTI

Then made a mistake by getting a 306 cab.... Big mistake
Then when I was 19 version 2 STI

Sold that an got a GSXR600
after the bike.... And yes this is the beast I sold to Topgear before a raining piano crushed it hahaha

After the loss of the dear marina went to a Honda Crx
from a Crx to an alfa Romeo 156
alfa to a Ninja600
then swapped the ninja plus cash for the 2004 WRX blobeye which I still have running 342bhp

Just a small selection of cars from fairly recent times, many, many other prior to this including a long line of various fords and cosworths, Evo5, GT4 carlos sainz, and even tried my hand at a porsche 964 at one point. - I get bored easily

Scoob number 3 I think

Scoob Number 5 I think

Scoob 4 number 4 I think

BMW M3 number 2

Scoob number 6 with 2.5 and 20G miss this one should have kept it.

MR2 N/A - Slow

VX220 Turbo - Huge fun and quick with Stage 2.

BMw 328I great car for what they are and cost.

RX7 - Mental quick and handful.

BMW 528I - Motoryway muncher

Vectra GSI - Superb car and better than the ST220 IMO.

Scoob 7 or 8

Evo 7 with lots of extras cosmetically and under the bonnet.

Laguna 3.0 V6 in between car - Horrid car

Saab 93 Aero Hot number 2 - Superb Cars

Mr2 Turbo - Love these cars and still do, but this one

Saab 93 Aero Hot number 1 with stage 1 and 240bhp.

MX5 turbo - running 240bhp. And mentally quick but gearing to short for power.

E36 M3 convertible - great car but prefer a saloon or coupe. Bit rattly once old.

Celica GT4 with Stage2 and circa 400bhp - Great car but engine blew.

E36 M3 convertible number 2.

golf GTI Mk3 - Good work horse.

E46 328I sport. Nice car but boring.

Scoob STI 8 - number 8
great car should have kept it, worth more now than what I sold it for over a year ago.

306 GTI - Bullet proof done a track day and drove it home no worries.

Mr2 turbo number 2.

Audi TT 225 - Superb for a hairdressers car.

Golf VR6 - OK but dont know what all the fuss is about.

audi S4 running 440bhp etc.- bonkers torque and quick.

TVr Chimera - Superb, probably should have kept it.
