Typical - had to turn down a blast in a Ferrari!
A mate has a 348 and I know its not the most desirable of Ferraris but its still a Ferrari. He absolutely hates it and hasn't got the time for it. Its just sat there gathering dust.
Anyway, I've hassled and hassled to lend it for a day but we never get to handing the keys over. This Sunday he is finally going to get it started and take it out if the weather is nice.
I on the other hand have a prior engagement that is too good to pass up on Saturday night and will mean Sunday is a complete right off.

I had to turn down a drivers day in the SE which included a drive in a Macca F1. Gutted? Yes.
A mate has a 348 - it really is a bit cr4p.
The 355 was MUCH better but still flimsier than wet bog roll.

My friend feels the same.
But I don't care, its a Ferrari at the end of the day and would be an event to drive it.
Same for an old classic scoob, it might be worthless and have an image problem but its still alot of fun.

In truth after a reasonably tuned scoob it would have been a disappointment.
I was lucky enough to be allowed to drive a friends 348 a couple of years ago, and I guess I expected it to be super quick and ace handling, but in truth it was neither. My friend was also disappointed and wanted to change it for a 360, but a good deal came up on a 355 and he bought that, nicer but still not a great car, he sold it within 6 months.
Unfortunately for me he has given up on fast cars and has bought a yacht instead.

For me a Ferrari like a 348, 355, 328 etc is not about the drive its about owning a Ferrari, Its like owning a Rolex, a casio will tell you time, and chances are it will have a lot more functions but its not a Rolex.
I have never driven a 348, I know a guy that owns one but not well enough to get a go in it.
Let us know how the drive goes.

My brother owns this:
(I've driven it)
but he wants this to go with it as well!
Much nicer than any Porsche (959, GT1 and Carrera GT excepted!)
