Yup if you can get it for cheap sell the bits if you have the ability to strip it. Bare in mind it will need to be collected and disposed of once most of it has gone so factor this in for scrapping it.

No they pay per weight, he might get 120 quid tops but i'd think no more than that, if you can strip it.

Stick it on a Vauxhall forum, they like them over there and might get all excited about it.
Breaking it would be the way to go, Wheels if alloys with decent tyres £200/£300, interior £150, gearbox £150/200, panels like doors/bonnet/hatch/bumpers potentially £100 each, Head and tail lamp units £40 each, plus some bits like wiper motors and other stuff maybe a few more quid and then weigth the shell in

maybe try Pistonheads, if its an SRI surely you could pull off the wheels, strip out the seats and get a scrap yard to pick the rest up?

Pistonheads if I was you. I put my gsi on there after the belt went and managed to get £500 for it. That was a few years ago though.

Takes around 24 hours for the ad to be approved unless you paid for a premium ad, good luck with the sale.

Do breakers still pay you when they take these things away?

I thought you had to pay to dispose of cars these days.
