When did F1 cars look their best ?. (Poll)
From when F1 first burst onto the scene to the current season .
My vote is for the 50's F1 cars (Mercedes-Benz W196, Maserati 250F etc).

best looking has to be the 07/08 cars they just looked obscenely fast even when stood still, amaing pieces of engineering and by far the best looking sounding f1 cars ever in my opinion, i think this years car looks to much like f2 f3 and worldcars and have taken a step backwards, but thats just my ten pence worth

Why do you bother People like you are so sad, if you don't like the subject of the OP's thread then don't comment on it and don't even read it!!! Posting "Fail" on peoples threads is just such a sad act thing to do. If you look above you'll notice that other people with similar interests have posted on this so it is by no means a "fail".

Hard to pick one but this has a certain something.
0-60 in 4.3s, Top Speed over 160mph depending on gearing, and no seat belts.

My brother and Dad went to that Monaco 1979 race on a Page & Moy trip in an Air France 747SP. They also had the amazing BMW M1 Procar series that year. The Top 3 in the Procar race at Monaco were Nicki Lauda, Clay Regazzoni and Emerson Fittipaldi: those 3 names wouldn't have looked out of place on the F1 podium, let alone a support race!
It's amazing how little has changed at the circuit in the last 30 years. We still look out for the same two grandstands (swimming pool & near last corner) that they sat in back then for Qualifying and the Race.
My brother would love that Jody Sheckter winning 312T4.

From late 80s to mid 90s.
IMHO.
Then the 09 cars, they look more like the 91-92 era cars IMHO.
Never a huge fan of the looks of the 2002> cars - they have their advantages but in terms of looks got to be the above.
