Well almost. They don't look right somehow.

Check out this link to a very rich man's toys...

BBC - Chris Evans: Hi guys...

Sorry if this has been posted before.

As usual, the money is always in the wrong hands.

He's done a mighty fine job if you ask me, better than the usual footballer / celeb cars.

Ok, well if you put it like that! Then maybe I agree somewhat.

Clearly he likes to spend (over the odds) on classic Ferraris, but why ruin them by re-spraying them white? Is it some sort of fashion thing, like the new car market? I know for a fact that the Lusso was originally red and am 99.9% sure that at least the 288 GTO and F40 (if not all the others) would also have been red. He's even spoilt the 5 million quid SWB California Spyder road car by deleting the bumpers to make it look like a racer. Why?

When he comes to sell any of them, who's going to want to spend top-dollar on his non-original cars, when there are correct ones out there?

But Turbo2, I don't think he's worried about the sale values. It probably makes him happy and if he has the money to spend then I guess its up to him

I can't see a thing wrong with any of them- might not like them all in white- but they look damn good. at least he's bought something interesting and someone is loving and using those cars.

I suspect he can afford to take a loss here and there.

Hmm, maybe, but does anyone REALLY like making a loss and I don't mean just a couple of grand on your 6 year old Impreza?!

About 20 years ago I remember reading a magazine article about the US Ferrari Owners Club Concours competition. There were lots of top cars lined up, all of a similar calibre to those now owned by Chris Evans. However, the journalist noticed that just 2 cars were parked up far away on their own in the corner of the display field.

"Why is that?" he asked the FOC organizer.

"Oh those two cars are just junk," he replied "the Daytona Spyder is a chop-job and the 275 GTB/4 has been resprayed in the wrong shade of yellow".

Harsh I know, but that's how the upper echelons of the classic car world think. If you were lucky enough to be spending 1+ million on a car, wouldn't you want the best you could buy?
