Default Anyone know owt about MG ZRs?

As the title says really - the missus wants to replace her corsa and has her eye on the trophy blue version of these cars. Is there anything to look out for/be aware of ? Any help/advice would be much appreciated. Cheers.

And electrics in every single one of them.

Do yourself a favour and don't get one.

Sorry to be such a numpty, is there anything obvious that'll show it's a K series?

When my wifes Rover failed to start for the umpteenth time when it rained, the Rover dealer fobbed it off as a characterisic of the marque. That together with rust on a 6 month old car, confirmed that they were destined for the scrap yard. I'd buy wisely, elsewhere.

Good advice. In the small hatch market, I'm overjoyed with my Fabia vRS. 55+mpg, 30-70 in 6s, cheap tax & insurance and very reliable. A quick look on PH sees 03 ZR's going for £3-4k, which might get you a vRS, or at least a 1.9 TDi Elegance.

Oh, and I had a rented Corsa for 7 months prior to getting the Fabia, and it is a massive step up in every way. Performance, handling, build quality, everything, REALLY ! Having said that, a bus pass is a step up from a Corsa IMHO
