Been there, done that, loved it, miss it. But it depends what your after - how do you define performance? NSX is a car for the dry twisties. Its not a car to go traffic light racing in, as it will get embarrassed. As that's not what the car is about at all.
Handling: league above
Brakes: league above
Comfort: league above (seriously, it does bumpy roads far better)
Steering Feedback/weighting: 1000 leagues above
Throttle response: league above (instant: no lag )
Acceleration: Nope - evo/scoob will wipe the floor with it (and probably quite a few modernish hot hatches).
Driving like a idiot on wet roads: Nope - evo/scoob will wipe the floor with it. OE recommended tyres are more suited to dry roads.
Without doubt it is something special, however it needs some real good twisty roads to get the best out of it. And has loads of posing presence; from people who know what it is and feejits who think its a Ferrari or something.

To be honest, I doubt it is that tuneable... without spoiling it and going forced induction.
I would LOVE to own an NSX for the rarity value and whole experience, its a left-field choice considering that F360s and 911 Turbos are in the same sort of price bracket.
Cheers,
Grant

If speed is everything then forget about the NSX. The car is not about that.
Its isn't about money or prestige either as someone has previously pointed out, for the same amount of dosh you could have a Porsche or Fezza badge. So what is it about then ?
Its about owning something undefinably special. One of the greatest F1 drivers of all time had direct input into the development of the suspension.
If you really love motors, then you will appreciate a NSX. It never sold in great numbers which just adds to the whole drama of owning one.
How many NSX'x do you see on the road day to day ? I'm lucky to see one or two in a year driving about.......its a seriously exclusive club.
I would personally plump for the 3.2 manual with the pop up lights myself.
Great Car

I drove one a couple of years ago and I felt so special. The driving position was spot on, the handling was sublime, gear change near perfect and finally a VTEC engine with torque singing behind your left ear...... amazing.
A pure drivers car without the badge snobbery like a Porsche, Ferrari et al.
What makes the car even more special is it's rarity and the fact that Honda in the forseable future seem to be ditching their motor racing development arm.
Would be in my dream garage for sure.
