that looks no diffrent to the current audi s3 sportback. if anything when the new rs3 comes it'll be on the new a3 , which should be around 2012.

Doubt it'll get a V10. The S5 Cabriolet is using the new S4's engine. So would have though Audi will use a tuned version of this engine. Not only will it be lighter, but will get better CO2 figures, and better mpg.

Audi have already stated the S4's engine will be in the S5 Coupe within 2 years. Why 2 years? To stop residuals of the current V8 engine getting hit, and to avoid upsetting those who have bought the current S5.

RS3 looks good, and would deffo consider one. 2012 is a long way off though

If they're testing now, I would have thought the RS3 might be a last shot for the current A3 shape. Maybe keep production going of the RS3 while the new 2010 A3 is getting produced. just like they did with the B5 RS4.

Whatever the reason, Audi's policy for putting cars out in the market is sh1te IMHO.

From what I've read, they camo the cars so as to look ordinary, but if you look at this one it has a different set of pipes.

The RS3 would have to be something spectacular to get me to buy it. I was left wholly underwhelmed by the S3
So much so that in a back-to-back with the Golf equivalent (R32), the Golf came out on top.

There was no point in paying a premium for the 4 rings

All IMHO, as I know there's a few S3 owners on this board.

I like the S3, but it is a bit too expensive IMHO, as I've always said.
