Default Volkswagen Scirocco 2.0 Tdi 140. Any thoughts?

Something to punt up and down the M4, 25k miles per annum and the occasional day trip. What do you think, fellas?

Nice car decent mpg, very sporty and responsive handling just dont pick red, White with the tan leather looks real nice, also choose the 18" gt wheels if you don't go for a GT. the look much better.

Probably not a bad choice if you need goood MPG, but having had a 2.0 TDI A3 they aren't all that quick unless you remap them!

The newer 2.0 TDI's (which it will be in the scirocco) are much quieter than the old ones.

Cool looking cars!

Thanks for the comments, chaps, It'd be leased FWIW. It's a toss up between the VW and one of the BMW diesels.

The new scirocco uses the common rail diesel engine, which is much quieter and more refined than the PD engines previously fitted to the golf et al.

Yet its still noisier than my vauxhall 1.9cdti engine, or pretty much any BMW diesel....
Its one of the least refined diesels on the market and that can be a serious off put for a potential buyer.
