Dealer needs to get a grip
Following on from the part ex thread, check out the differences in these two monaros and then compare the prices.
Markup I can understand, but that's taking the pee.
20k more miles and two years older for a larger boot and a rarity factor

Usuall main stealer mark up.. that fancy forecourt and warranty don't come cheap! and the private seller obviously priced it to sell.. seems perfectly normal to me, im sure if you had a look around the various small ads you'd be able to find many similar price diferentials between people who really want / need to sell a car and dealers / people who are in no rush..

Pick your time right and you'd likely get an easy 2K of the Poxhaul dealer's car.

We got £3k off our Astra - brand new, they'd only been out under a year.
We just played three dealers off against each other.
Now that was when things were booming - I'd say you'd be able to get £4k off that price on the Monaro. You just need to approach the negotiations in the right way.

And a Jimny too...
Nothing to prove, no appendage subsitute car needed.
Of course we could get something flash without a loan - but there are more important things in life right now.
Nothing makes me laugh more than a cretin with a presige motor on the never never thinking he's made it. Look at all the cars getting peanuts for p/x for motors the owners now can't afford. Now THEY do look really silly.

Just to add:
My 2006 Monaro 6.0 VXR with 6000miles (and 8months old) Cost £22.5K
This was 18 months ago. And got £22.5K for it 6months later.
Personally, next time I'd go for a version that has a useable boot (i.e an older model) as the 6.0 VXR's boot was just stupid for such a huge car.
The Golf I'm driving right now does the same MPG!
