On the right tyres they are a very capable off road tool and can tow up to 3.5Tonne if needed.
If you can put up with the American idea of what quality plastics are they are a good buy.

Volkswagen Golf R32 - £229 per month - Ref: 28922215 - Posted: 12/11/2008 15:02:40
Tempted myself. These have been cheap leasers for a while now: overshadowed by the GTi, which are cheaper to buy but more expensive to lease.
Seems like no-one wants thirsty motors at the mo.

Rob - which model?
Still can't believe that R32 deal!! I miss that V6 noise SO much. Shame they are mega band tax and low 20s mpg but they certainly make up for it once you give them stick.

Reckon our X Trail (£25k list) is probably worth about £5k now.Still looks great, all the bells and whistles and wipe clean boot (good for your dog!) so a pittance to buy a used one.You will just never be able to sell a 4x4 later though,or get a good used price (even X5's are worth nothing now)
Reality is with one baby and a dog an estate should be fine.Only reason we didn't get one was they were to posh for kids and dogs inside!
Out of your list(if you really want a big,big 4x4),RR's(sports) make me cringe just seeing them but Touraegs look smart. How about a used real Range Rover? Beautiful and dirt cheap
