The new Scirocco, OMG!!
Have you seen any of these yet?
So far ive seen two, and god, they are one ugly are in the flesh
It looks as if it has a crysler neon front end and the rear, damn if it were a woman, she wouldnt need to ask if her bum looked big , it really does look horrid, shame, no doubt its to put off potential thieves

I've only seen one close up (in the real world - not the showroom)...
And I have to admit the rear IS/looks big
Up to this point, I was really liking it.
I'm sure it will sell well, but I think the Golf is still a more useful car (as it's meant to be!LOL!)
Now, comparing it to say, the Brera...... hmmm toughy. Shame the Brera is "all show, no go"

I've seen a couple up close - from the front it looks mean, from the rear it looks wide (not much wider than the golf apparantly) and from the side it looks smooth but a bit too high (wheel arch clearance)
would get 1 in either white or grey

It's like when you see a photo of a "fit" female celebrity in the paper and you think phwooaaaar and then you see the same woman down the shops and she looks like a moose.
The scirocco is the same, I saw the pics and thought it looked good but I saw one on the road the other day and it looked just a little better than an FSO Polonez...

PS my mum had an F reg Scirocco Scala with the white seats and it was a great car so I have a little scirocco pedigree, but the new one doesnt cut the same mustard.

I've owned two Corrados in the past, and they look way better imho. The difference was that they were pretty much like nothing else at the time, and stood out as stunning cars (even though they were built on a golf floorpan). The new Scirocco doesn't stand out from the crowd, and looks like every other bubble blobby shaped new euro box.

Only seen pics but looks smart.
Thought they would have tweaked that 2.0T it to give it more oomph than Skoda Octavia vRS and Golf GTI
Otherwise it seems more fashion than function

I liked them enough to order one in Rising Blue metallic.
Sadly build delays meant I had to cancel. Wouldn't get it till next year if I'd kept the order. Ordered in July.

the golf mk 1, 11, 111 and early sciroccos were all butt ugly.
prob is we all look back with foggy lenses thinking they were pretty etc back then.
or now- how nice it would be to own a classic- reliving cars from our youth.
new scirocco does look damn good- but lets be honest all cars are evolving into jelly moulds really !
different subject- but look at the new ford Ka- can you tell its fist panda/500 based

don't think the corrado will ever be top'ed by vw,a true design classic but saying that i do see a lot of potential in the new sirocco.it's 18" rims look lost in those arches and up close it does look a bit 4x4,the car is crying out for a set of coil overs and deep dish BBS rims and what with the vw modding scene being what it is,its only a matter of time till some really nice roco's are cruising around
