renault 1.5 dci starting problem :(
Hi, just thought id post up on here to see if anyone has any ideas on the problem ive got with my kangoo van.
Its got the 1.5 dci turbo diesel engine.
when i switch on the ignition, the preheat light does not come on. if i keep flicking the ignition on and off for a minute or two, it eventually will light up, but only briefly, and wont start.
however, once it has lit up briefly, if i turn the ignition on and off, it comes on each time briefly, so if i make sure its had enough preheat, it starts.
any ideas on this problem?

Seconded, i have the clio 1.5 dci and it was running rough when cold, £30ish, 20mins job and its sorted.
Can't remember the exact size of socket needed but its small and has to be the long nose, think 8mm might have been the size....
