Default Un-Lowering a car?

Bit of a strange one this but i had a MK4 Golf which i sold to a mate and bought something else, got bored of new car so got rid of it and bought back the Golf from my mate.....

Here lies the problem, he's lowered it and put 19" wheels on. It looks nice but the ride is fookin awful and it a pain in the **** to drive around my area (speedbumps). How easy is it to put the car back to normal? he had lowering springs put on it.

Yes, it used to roll around corners, but i'm not a rally driver and it used to drive really well.

piece of cake... just get a set of standard springs off eBay or the VW forums and swap them, you can then sell the lowering springs
