We have a fleet of Peugeot 206 vans, from 2002's to 2005's, and in the last month or so the drivers are complaining that the indicator isn't been cancelled when the steering wheel is "centralised" as it should.

Instead of cancelling the indicators it is actually turning it the other way ie if you turned left, then straightened up, the indicator would start indicating right

Obviously this is very dangerous if the driver doesn't notice as they are unaware the indicators are flashing...

I was wondering if anyone had heard of any recalls, or whether this is a known problem ? A new indicator stalk from Peugeot is £170. Obviously if they need them they will get them but I'm a bit loathed to spend so much on so many cars that are not that old.

How many have you got?

Are the 2005 models still in warranty?

do you have a Peugeot account manager? i.e. a little word to say you want some goodwill in fixing them or your next fleet purchase will be with another manufacturer!

 

If you need to get one. Buy one second hand, thats what we do.

Its happened on someone I know's 206. Quite common apparently. I think the 306 stalks are the same, but don't have the problems.
