Default Thoughts on A3 (8P) 3.2 Quattro?

Just nosing about today and a three year old one of these looks like not a bad buy.

Any opinions or experiences?

Can be a bit nose heavy, also the emissions are in highest group so will be an expensive VED renewal.

Hmmm, saw it was 400 for a ved renewal, maybe that's why they're so reasonable!

They look like great value - don't fetch that much more than the TDi's at a couple of years old, and as mentioned they do sound fantastic! If you don't do much mileage and want something fast but understated then probably makes a lot of sense.

That's the thing, I've got an 8L 1.8T and have done 5.5k in 20 months so mpg isn't a big deal for me.

Not really after the ultimate driving machine, just a nice three door hatch that goes a bit and isn't a chore on longer trips.

To be honest, you'd probably be better off with a Golf R32. Golf looks better/more aggressive, and is set-up to be far sportier.

A3 3.2 just looks like an A3. Nothing special.

A3 = Golf in a posh dress!

Golf = Octavia in a posh dress!

Polo = Fabia in a posh dress!

Have also looked at R32 but no requirement for sportieness/aggressive looks and I don't like the look of the latest one anyway.

Hopefully in the market at the end of the summer so will watch the prices with interest.

Thanks for the comments
