Anyone know anything about 01 Audi A6 Avant 2.4 SE's?
After flirting with a Rover 75 estate my brother in law is now viewing a 2001 A6 Avant 2.4 SE tomorrow morning.
Does anyone know what to look out for with these?
This is the car:
4 Front Car Sales - Eltham - London
I'm guessing they can be found for less privately but the garage is offering a generous 2.5k on his outgoing and rather ill XJ.
Any advice greatly appreciated

Well overpriced imo.
Last year I sold an A6 saloon 2.4 quattro for 4.5k (60k miles). Could have got £5 maybe if I'd waited longer but hardly had any calls and wanted cash for new car!
Multitronic known for problems, normal autos better.
I'd value that car at around £5k so no wonder he's offering a good P/X if he's fter £7.5k!!!!

We used to a have a '03 2.5 TDI SE CVT A6 avant. It was a fantastic car. Really good quality feel compared to our old company '98 A4 TDI. Slightly lacking in performance the V6 was surprisingly frugal. It held the road well in all weather [non quattro] with 235/??/17's. Worth a look at IMO. Our 95k version sold for a little over 10k erm 18 months ago???
