Any VW mechanics out there, need help with my passat
Hi guys, recently both of my window motors packed in on the passat, one after the other. Roughly two years ago my drivers side motor packed in and i purchased a replacement from a VW breakers. I replaced it myself with no problems, took me less than half an hour.
This current problem is weird however,
I purchased both replacement motors from another salvage yard and the dude took them off in front of me. I took the drivers side door card off my car today and realised that the motors i purchased are the wrong way round. The drivers side motor is supposed to be bigger than the passenger but the ones i bought from a salvage yard were the other way round. So I went back and seen that even off another passat they were the wrong way round i.e. bigger motor on the passenger side as opposed to drivers side.
Can someone please explain whats gone wrong, cheers

Hi Ron thanks for the reply matey, only problem is no one really seems to reply to any threads on there. It is a large community but since it covers so many different cars and since it has been segmented so much no one really looks to reply to threads especially something of such nature.
But thanks for the reply
