Wink Been dabbling on ebay again

Kept it German, but thought I'd go Bavarian this time.

Picked this little number up for next to nothing.

130k with FBMWSH to 111k, then bought by a engine technician who has since replaced the cam belt and head gasket and all wheel bearings 6k miles ago.

New exhaust, newish tyres and everthing works. Lovely souning straight 6.

Not a spot of rust on it and as tight to drive as any 19yr old car could be.

Are the wheels genuine Alpina or copies? Looks nice but as above: how much?

They're replicas, but quality ones and in mint condition.

£250.

What a find! My in-laws had a 525tds which was surprisingly pleasant to drive even by today's standards

19 yrs old

I remember almost blagging one of these for a week, F reg in white, from the senior salesman while I was a boxshifter in a warehouse in 1991. Everyone loved it. And you picked it up for less than a night out in "that London"!

Can't believe I'm that old...

I know, crazy how little they go for if you're cheeky with people.

He wanted triple the amount I paid. It would have been a bargain at what he wanted, but I like to haggle. He had it on ebay with a silly start price so no one bid and ended without a sniff.

Badly advertised too with no info about history or what he'd done to it.

I've got the original data card service book and MOTs from 1993 onwards that say otherwise.

No.

He wanted a price and I offered him an amount under what he wanted. We agreed straight away as he wanted it gone as he has a newer model.

I'm no nonsense and offered, turned up and drove away within 48hrs.
