Focus RS mule?
#1
Anybody come across a silver focus with black wheels on the M1 that is far faster than it has any right to be?
Was driving south near the beginning of the M1 the other night at about 1am, and a car moving very fast came up behind me just as I entered a 50mph one lane section. At the derestricted sign and back to three lanes I felt like having a play (the pratt had sat on my **** the whole way through the contraflow) and just lazily nailed it in fourth and fifth (still very quick in my modded type R from 50mph - short gearing and all that ). He didn't stay with me, but wasn't left far behind, and I only pulled away slowly. This I would expect if he had the RS's 220 Bhp, but a standard Focus, even with a few mods should have been left for dead. When we reached about ahem miles per hour (less than 100 by the way and the road was deserted before anyone starts harping on) I eased off but he kept going up to a very high speed very quickly and seemed to be holding the road in the bends at 100+ mph with excellent composure.
So, any of you lot seen this car? Could a modded focus have been that quick, or could this very subtle and standard looking car (it didn't even have a noisy exhaust) with black steel wheels be an Rs mule? Who knows.......... interesting thought though.
Cheers

I would love to take an everyday car like the focus and shove a 500bhp cossie lump in it.... but leave it looking as standard as possible.
Now that would be fun......
