Anyone owned a Audi S4 MY99-00?
Anyone owned a 1999/2000 Audi S4 Avant? I like the idea of one of these, Im told key things to change are H&R suspension, de-cat and twin K04 turbos then a remap, what sort of power should this achieve?
Would the gearbox, clutch and brakes handle this upgrade in power? In particular the gearbox!?
Anything else worth looking out for on these?

Anything else? FSH if possible, other than that, pretty bullit proof AFAIK!

I've got one 
The big one to go for is the MRC upgrade - would trust any others tbh.
They also chuck in Health check - a MUST for any S4 owner.
A stage 1 upgrade is about £500. Good performance increase for the cash
The things that can go wrong are basically suspension and (more importantly) turbos.
Gearbox and clutch are ok in standard form. Brakes, well, these can be heavy on the pads, but it does depend on your driving style.
But yeh, check out rs246.com

My S4 saloon has done 130K on the standard gearbox and it's running 420BHP. You don't 'need' to upgrade any parts on an S4 but a lot of cars are running with boost leaks or other issues which are easily fixable as the car isn't well understood in the Audi Dealer network. If you look at a car get it to MRC in Banbury for a health check.
Stage 1 car will make 320-330BHP with just a remap (£500) , K04 car with Injectors, Fuel Pump, Intercoolers & sports cats/full exhaust will make 400-420BHP (£3000-£4000).
Brakes and suspension are certainly areas for improvement as are ARBs and a short shift. If you want a modified car you'd be best looking on rs246.com and geting one thats already been done.
