I have a JDM 350Z ver ST at the moment and love it, although I'm just about to sell it to get something with a tow bar Should be around your price range too. 30k miles, leather, Bose etc, just serviced at Nissan . . . ok, enough pimping
Its great fun to drive and turns heads, especially with a stainless exhaust. Reasonable on fuel on long runs, but not so great around town. Shifts very nicely and handles well for its weight. Puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. What do you want to know?

I found mine awful on fuel. Had the 350Z GT4 in ultra yellow with nismo factory fit kit. Not many in the UK. But I changed jobs and the £500/month fuel bill was too much to take for me.
Apart from that, head turning...lovely car...(same heater controls as the impreza)

We'll probably get an import once i've shifted the P1.
Doubt it'll be a patch on the P1, but theres not many cars out there for up to 20k, that suit both myself and the other half. Hopefully manage to find one in blue.

It largely depends on what you're looking for from a car, I sold my Scooby and bought one of these over two years ago.
The Scooby was a great car in it's day, but it's become pretty dated, and to be completely honest, they're a tad too chavvy for most, and your average bod (over 17) wouldn't touch one with a barge pole. (just look at the image )
All my opinion of course
The Zed has a totally different appeal, and is a completely different car, and hence difficult to compare the two. The Zed feels very special and sounds absolutely wonderful. We took ours to the Ring this year, and couldn't have asked for a more complete experience, comfy GT cruiser, nimble enough for the small towns, and of course quite capable on track.
They really are fantastic cars, but not for everyone of course.

You did the ring! Nice one. Just out of interest what did it cost you to get the car there and back, track entry, night over etc? I fancy taking my Zed there too.
pm off line if you like.
Cheers
